In the build-up to the MA final shows at UAL (two weeks to go!), the blog for the Camberwell campus is interviewing several of the students about the college and their work. Here’s mine.

Yesterday I picked up the proofs of my book from the printers (Calverts in East London). They were so good that I trimmed, folded and bound it as soon as I got home. I’m so excited that, after all this time, The Tale of Atalanta The Lion is finally a real thing, not just a series of scruffy watercolours!
Come and see the book and a few nice prints at my MA final show (see details below).
You will have seen snippets of my final project on this blog or on my website, but do come along to see the finished piece: an illustrated book of the story of Atalanta – an amazing character from Ancient Greek mythology. Here is the front cover just to give you a taste:
The show runs from Wednesday 16th July to Wed 23rd July (not including the Sunday unfortunately). The college will be open from 10am to 8pm each day. The address is 45-65 Peckham Road, London SE5 8UF. Transport links are pretty good: Denmark Hill and Peckham Rye stations are each about ten-fifteen minutes from the college on foot and buses from all over London stop almost outside the door. I will be there a lot, but not the whole time, so if you’d like to cross paths, drop me an e-mail at email@example.com

This year MA Illustration will be exhibiting with the other courses from the Visual Arts department, in one of my favourite small galleries, Brixton East. The show is called Pomegranate (I think we’re the seeds…) and should be pretty great. Look our for work by Evelyn Albrow, Frances Ives, Hazel Perryman and Kirsty Jones.
If you’re free on Thursday night, why not come to the Private View for a glass of wine and a browse. Otherwise, it will be open from Friday, the 28th February until 10th of March, so you’ve plenty of time to drop in. I’ll be showing Aphrodite.Click on the pic to be redirected to the exhibition website.
